It was important that we elevate the conversation beyond our raw emotions of anger, frustration, and helplessness, and Phillip did exactly that. We talk about the history of police violence, the systemic roots that support prejudice behavior and the devaluation of black and brown lives, and how conscience-ness, empathy, and contribution can shift the narrative and positively impact the cultural dynamic.
