EP 44: Politicin’ in 2016 (ft. Dr. Keneshia N. Grant)

We’re super excited about this week’s show! After catching up on Irene’s Target addiction (amongst other things), and Shells’ avoidance of the barbershop, we briefly discuss the backlash of Zoe Saldana playing Nina Simone and the unfathomable fact that Donald Trump is winning and his rally supporters are insane. We change up our Would You Rather segment this week with a little political quiz. See how much you know here.

And then we get into the highlight of our show! We are joined by Dr. Keneshia N. Grant to discuss the fascinating 2016 Political Presidential Race, the history and migration of the African American vote, and our responsibility as voting citizens. We LOVED Dr. Grant’s down to earth, honest, and candid insights on what we are currently facing in politics!

We wrap up the show by tapping into and expanding Irene’s musical palette with a Nigerian artist that wants us to “Shake Body“; and Shells eye spy inspiration encourages us to create strong circles of folks around and be open to conversations that encourage learning, understanding and greater awareness.
We really enjoyed this one and we hope you do too! As always, remember to listen, laugh and share! Hit us up on TwitterInstagram, and Facebook or our talk back line (202) 780-5FSG!
See ya next week!

About FSGPodcast

This is thoughtful, witty, and balanced conversation about a gamut of issues AND our love for Ellen Degeneres! :) The hosts, Irene & Shells, don’t have an agenda, they are simply talking about anything and everything for sh*ts and giggles…and are often surprised by the entertaining banter and surprising insights that result.
