It’s episode 16, ya’ll. Over the last week, Shells had a little run-in with a tollbooth while trying to pick up a sick child. Irene is in love with summer, trying to reconcile her feelings about the stair master, and successfully tweet threatening AT&T.
When it comes to Ellen, one of us is amused by Ellen’s recent “You’re Welcome Wednesdays”, while the other is digging a lot of the novelty gear in The Ellen Shop.
This week’s Would You Rather completely threw Irene for a loop! Hit us up on Twitter or Facebook and let us know which you would rather: Always be overdressed or always be underdressed. @FSGPodcast #FSGWYR
Water Cooler News includes the re-opening of the US & Cuba embassies, a couple more “National _____ Days” for your celebratory pleasure, an interesting extra credit question that addresses the “fear of missing out”, and we then get into quite a discussion about this Nicki Minaj & Taylor Swift … thing.
This week’s Plug of the Week is In My Own Lane Events. Kianna Lane is the CEO & Founder of In My Own Lane Events, as well as a mother and entrepreneur. As she began to build her businesses, she quickly learned that she could accomplish more with a valuable network, so she started to bring together many of her entrepreneur friends to collaborate, support, and encourage each other. The result was the birth of In My Own Lane Events where they host events designed to bring businesses together to build one another up. Planning for September is currently underway for events in the metro-Atlanta area. Contact In My Own Lane at InMyOwnLaneEvents@gmail.com and like their page on Facebook for more information and upcoming events.
Let’s Talk About It this week, is a discussion about the desire for and dangers of validation, especially on social media. We learn that Shells is deeply impacted by ultra-perfect IG pictures…eh, she’s a work in progress.
A Philly native and R&B maven is delighting Irene’s Beats, and her story to stardom is our Eye Spy Inspiration. That’s all we have, until next week! See you then!
