EP55: Irene Don’t Like Ugly
Aaaaannnnnddddd, we’re back… albeit a week late. #BlameLife
While we were away, Irene was battling the devil (who arrived in the form sinusitis & laryngitis). Meanwhile, Shells was wrangling children, celebrating 7 years of marriage, and is increasingly entertained by Coley-Cole!
We’re catching up about a lot of things around the FSG Water cooler…
- The Phenomenon of the Laughing Chewbacca Lady (Facebook Live sensation);
- “Adult” fitness videos are coming *giggles*
- Things got “Real” for Tamar Braxton’s daytime career
- The TSA debacle continues
- Ellen had one of the most dope Hip Hop weeks
- The NBA playoffs are proving to be really entertaining
- The BadBoy reunion was amazing
- BET’s current programming deserves a round of applause
- The Billboard Awards was a complete FAIL
- And lastly, time to pop bottles…cause Gucci Man is finally gucci!!
Then we talk about a basic life management skill: what do you say to ugly people who try to make you feel bad about yourself??? SPOILER ALERT: Irene has some strong feelings about this.
Then, we wrap it all up with some “coloring” from Chicago’s Chance the Rapper and a Jay Z summer time anthem feature in Irene’s Beats (we’re blessing y’all with two Beats this weeks). Shelley’s Eye Spy Inspiration is about keeping your vision fixed, no matter the distraction or weight of the world.
That’s all for now, good people… see you next week!

Ep 54: But Can I Get A Kidney?
New week…new foolishness. HA!
First, we recap the past weekend…both of us were celebrated: one for birth and one for motherhood. Both successful occasions. 🙂 …and then we discuss our love for crab legs.
Then we hang out around the FSG water cooler … which included the rumored relationship between Toni Braxton and Birdman, the happy news for Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna, the dragging of Azelea Banks at the hands of a 14 year old Disney star, the passing of Afeni Shakur, Riley Curry’s growing stardom, the exuberant prom “proposal” trend, dumb ass George Zimmerman, and Irene’s feelings about Jussie Smollett’s vocal ability.
It’s a light and easy would you rather this week… would you rather play board games or kickball?? It’s all fun and games, until you have to make a decision! @FSGPodcast #FSGWYR
We came across an article about a man who was struggling in his relationship because he’d fallen out of love with his girlfriend … but felt obligated to stay with her because she’d donated a kidney. So, we’re talking about obligatory relationships…when you stick around longer than you would have because of what has been done, given, or experienced together.
Then, we wrap it all up with a little JT in Irene’s Beats and Brene Brown in Eye Spy Inspiration. We had a good time…and we’re happy to be feeling like ourselves again! 🙂
Until next week, listen – laugh – share!

EP53: Random & Exhausted
We’re back!! Irene celebrated her born day, but the LITuation was still a couple days away! While Irene celebrates, Shells is moving closer to her secret life as a granola loving hippie.
Around the water cooler, we share the Pink vs. Prince story, Irene’s reacts to Drake’s new album, we (sadly) acknowledge Trump’s persistence, North Carolina is clearly struggling with acceptance of the transgendered community, and we respond to the National Correspondence dinner and the eternal awesomeness of the Obamas.
This week, would you rather take a cold shower or not take a shower? @FSGPodcast #FSGWYR
Shells found a store that supports women who are transitioning from violent, unstable, and unsafe circumstances (www.warinternational.org), and picked up a pack of discussion cards. So, we picked a few cards to chat about. We’d love to hear your answers about these topics too! So hit us @fsgpodcast on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 202-780-5FSG.
Then we wrap this bad boy up with a track from Desiigner in Irene’s Beats and the highlights of Shelley’s Sunday sermon for eye spy inspiration.
We were dragging a little bit this week … blame life…and birthdays! But we’ll be back to our usual energetic selves next week! 🙂
Love ya’ll – Listen.Laugh.Share.

Ep52: Royalty – Prince & Queen Bey
It’s a new week…and a new episode of FSG.
Last week, Irene had a blast in NYC visiting friends and enjoying Springcoming…a warm up, of sorts for her upcoming birthday week. She also learned that her personal BeyHive is crazy… Yikes! Meanwhile, Shells has finally recovered from the last 2 weeks travel and visiting, and earned her stripes being “school mom”for a day.
Around the water cooler, we discuss Drake’s new album, some primary elections results, Birdman’s epic faux pas, the melt-down at Live with Kelly & Michael, Kobe’s appearance on Ellen, and the conviction of former speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert.
This week’s Would You Rather looks at if it’s harder to tell the truth or tell a lie. So, would you rather be forced to tell your best friend a lie or your parents the truth. What say you? @FSGPodcast #FSGWYR
Then, we finally get into the Royal Treatment. Given the recent events in the world of music, we simply HAD to spend some time talking about the influence and impact of Prince and Beyonce’. Simply put, this week we discuss Royalty.
And it should come as no surprise at all that these two legends would be in Irene’s Beats’ this week. And finally, we wrap the show up with a bible verse that speaks to living your life with grace.
It was another fun show for us – we hope you enjoyed it too! Continue to share the FSG word and we’ll see ya next week! Listen – Laugh – Share!
