The Blackish Empire

Yellow Hello! (bwhahaha, Irene hates that greeting). Here we are again…

While Irene is gearing up for Black Friday shopping, Shells is trying not to ruin her sweet spirited son.

Speaking of sweet spirits, it was a good week on The Ellen show. She celebrated her 2000th episode and had, Jennifer Aniston, Justin Timberlake, and Kerry Washington on as guests during her milestone episode. Good stuff as always, and we’re so happy for Ellen’s accomplishment. 2000 times she’s reminded us to be kind…and we’re listening! 🙂 We also talk about the Beiber/DeGeneres relationship and Shonda Rhimes’, rare, interview.

This week’s would you rather question is about what you’d rather have unlimited access to: Clothes or Food.  Bet you can’t guess which host chooses what. -_- As always, we want to hear from you. Hit us up on Twitter/IG/Facebook (@FSGPodcast) and #FSGWYR

Around the water cooler this week, we get into the racial tension at Mizzou and the HBCU vs PWI conversation, the GOP debate (kinda, not really), Irene’s commitment to Love and HipHop and RHOA, Missy Elliott’s new music video, a $70K minimum wage, and Rihanna’s growing empire. Then we talk about two of the biggest primetime shows featuring predominately black actors: Empire & Blackish.

In Irene’s Beats this week is an up and coming hiphop and R&B sensation with stellar writing credits. And Shonda’s 2014 Dartmouth Commencement Speech provides this week’s eye spy inspiration.

That’s all for now! We love ya’ll and we deeply appreciate all of the love and support!

Listen…Laugh…Share, and we’ll see you next week!
